Saturday 22 January 2011. I didn't realise then what this date would come to mean, but that cold winters afternoon in Leeds marked the last time I chemically straightened my hair.
Inspired by my younger sister who had gone natural several months previously, and my two young daughters who have very different hair textures and extremely tender heads, I knew I had to learn more about the hair God had blessed me with. I also knew that once I had made my decision I would never be turning back.
My natural hair journey, like everything in life, has been a real test at times, but in the main it has been thoroughly enlightening and empowering. This page will be dedicated to a selection of pictures of natural hair in all it's glory, be it my own, my childrens, my family members or other great images I happen to come across.
