The Science Museum

Cars and planes

Daddy, the kids and I went to the Science Museum in South Kensington on Saturday. It was a pretty spur of the moment decision but we had a great time. Admission is free and it's a lovely big building with TONS to see and do.

I've wanted to take the children for ages, but we've never found the right time to go, so the last minute nature of the trip really gave us all the shove we needed. I'd made plans to see my cousin in the evening, so we only had a couple of hours to see a few things together.  The museum is sooo vast and there is so much to do, including scheduled experiments and documentary showcases that I'd definitely recommend going early and making a day of it. We'll definitely be doing that next time.

What we did get to see however was great and we watched a bubble show which I loved (I LOVE bubbles) and the kids did too of course. It really was a lovely day out which I would most certainly recommend for all the family.

Raise money for charity, get fit, have fun

When Tinuke from 'Circus Mums blog' emailed me last week asking if I would mind writing a post to help support a good cause, I didn't give it a second thought. Helping others gives me a warm glow inside, and it goes without saying that the World would be a much better place if we all reached out to others more. Come on you know it's true. Anyway lecture over, Tinuke's personal trainer, Thelma and Thelma's team the MustMoveCrew  are organising their first ever fitness fundraising event and it sounds like a lot of fun.

On Saturday 29th September the MustMoveCrew will be holding a 'Dance-Fitness-Athon' in North London to help raise money for the British Heart Foundation.  There will be Soca, Latin, Afrobeats, Azonto lessons, Zumba sessions, the list goes on. It promises to be a great day out for all the family and it's for a fabulous cause so why not get involved?

I've heard Azonto being spoken about quite a bit lately and wasn't quite sure exactly what it was, well for those of you who like me are a bit curious, here's the low down;

'Azonto Fitness incorporates the body movements from “Azonto Dance” form into a thrilling fitness routine. It is a fun yet challenging African inspired dance fitness class, designed to give you a high calorie busting workout whilst learning and dancing to the latest Afrobeats Music!'

Raising money for a good cause, getting fit and having fun it can't get any better than that. For tickets and more information just click on the links below.

Beside the seaside

We went on an impromptu day out to Littlehampton in West Sussex yesterday.

The weather was glorious. We were supposed to be going to church, but we were running ridiculously late so decided to go to the coast instead.

Here are some pics from our beautiful day at the seaside.

My gorgeous girls.
On the ferry boat to the beach on the west side.

So, so cheeky. Mwaaah

Lapping up the rays

Checking she's tall enough for the ride. Yep she is.
Just about. Phew.

Aww, my li'l man is tired. Wish he'd keep his sun hat on.
