God wants me to blog

During my frustrated moments this past few weeks, I began to wonder if I should quit blogging. I didn't see the point, or maybe I felt that I was talking too much, or getting too personal, or whatever, whatever, whatever. Well as you know I've been missing in action for a bit on the blog front, and my sisters were asking me what was happening, and why I wasn't posting as much.

To be honest I really didn't have much to say and I was feeling a bit fed up with everything, but then the last few posts I wrote have had some of the highest viewing figures in RECORD time. Now it could very well be an anomaly, or one of those google glitch things, I don't know, but I think it's way too much of a coincidence for this not to be God's doing. You know, His way of showing me a sign.

Come on, think about it, I'm down in the dumps, contemplating quitting blogging, then I get prompted to write some posts and those very posts have over 600 and 2000 views respectively in a matter of days. I don't care what anyone says, that is INDEED a sign from God. He wants me to keep blogging people and what He says goes, so looks like I'm here to stay guys.

For now anyway........ : )

I just read this post and was thinking deeply on what you said about it was God that gave you a sign and wants you to keep blogging. As I'm trying to clarify in my own head what you mean then is it fair for me to say the following in light of your post:

1. That every post you now do will have over 600 and 2000 views because it is God's doing? if not, and/or you get writers block etc etc, so to speak, does that mean God does not want you to continue?

2. If you go to quit something and then it works out, does it mean that God is saying to continue with whatever you was doing and don't quit ?

I am not trying to dismiss and/or disrespect what you are saying here but rather reason with you about it, so I hope you don't mind me asking the questions. I am genuinely interested in how this works. Thanks Natalie.

Hi Rum punch, the way it works for me is that I believe in God and His word which is the Bible. Now with God all things are possible, you only have to read the Bible to see the many miracles that were achieved through His son and saviour Jesus Christ; feeding the five thousand, turning water to wine, the blind man to see. Anyway to get back to your point the Lord has made many incredibly things happen in my life, the fact that He has prompted me to continue blogging may seem trivial and coincidental (not saying you believe that, but it's easy to think like that, I know I used to) but yes the two posts I wrote after I felt like giving up have achieved the highest stats ever, and no the posts following have not scored so highly, but I see that as even more of a sign, because God revealed His prompting at the precise point at which I needed it.

I'm not quite sure what your stance is on God and spirituality, but I have a close personal relationship with Him through prayer and reading the Bible and surrendering my life to Him, so I am able to discern more and more what is of Him and what is of my own flesh/thoughts. To be honest it is hard to explain to someone looking in, who may not understand or fully believe so I encourage you to pray to Him and ask Him to reveal Himself to you in some way. If you seek Him honestly, with all your heart and soul, you will be amazed at what He can do in your life.

Sorry about the long reply, I was unsure how best to respond. Hope I have been able to cast some light on the situation for you. : )

Thanks Natalie for your honest reply. Yes, I think I know where you are coming from with this.

I'm always interested in hearing different points of views or experiences when it comes to God, and even more so when people say that God has told them to do something. I believe this is because I come from a church background that was highly abusive, and one of the issues was around people stating that they were continuously hearing from God every 5 mins (more than Moses in some cases) So this post got me thinking about how you came to the conclusion that it was God.
Thanks again for responding.
